Oral History

As director of the University History Project in the Center for Public History, I manage an oral history program that collects life histories of students, faculty, staff, and alum. I am supported by graduate students in the Public History program who, via project work, receive training in oral history practice and methodology.

I am also supporting the Atlanta Studies Unpacking Manuel’s Tavern project by collecting stories about the objects on the wall of famed Atlanta political bar, Manuel’s Tavern. I recently contributed to the Atlanta Studies blog with a piece exploring the importance of oral history for the project.
